2023 Sturgeon Bay Development Tour
About the Tour
On June 16, DCEDC partnered with the City of Sturgeon Bay to host a development tour of available sites for commercial and residential development. Real estate representatives from across the Midwest joined Door County and regional partners to discuss the advantages of developing in Sturgeon Bay. The group then toured new developments and available sites in the city on a Door County Trolley. Participants enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, courtesy of Dan Rankin, Director of Operations. Other tour guests included DCEDC Board Members Brian Stephens, CEO of Door County Medical Center and Ryan Hoernke, Controller of Therma-Tron-X, Inc., who both discussed the economic impact of their organizations as well as development needs for the community.
