The Door County Economic Development Corporation’s 33rd Annual Investors Meeting and business awards presentation is scheduled for Thursday, May 18, at Stone Harbor Resort & Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m.; the program begins at noon.
The program includes presentations by DCEDC Executive Director Michelle Lawrie and keynote speaker Mike Ward, vice president of business and community development for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
The event culminates with an awards presentation. Four Door County businesses will be recognized in the following categories: Minority- or Women-Owned Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Established Business of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement.
“The 2023 DCEDC Board of Directors and I are looking forward to continuing the history of the organization’s celebration of businesses, organizations and individuals that make Door County a great place to live and do business,” said DCEDC Executive Director Michelle Lawrie. “Our event keynote speaker, Mike Ward of WEDC, will also address the future of economic development strategies at the state agency, and discuss how Door County can make sure its businesses are at the forefront of those efforts.”
